In November 2005 – after several years working for Nelson Tourism Services, I was given the opportunity to purchase the website based inbound travel business click-nz.com.

Click-nz.com organises and books mainly inbound travel and tourism products for clients from all over the world eg bookings for campervan and car hires, accommodation, activities and other transports like flights and ferry crossings as well as promoting activities in our beautiful Nelson Tasman Region

When it came to taking over click-nz.com I needed the resources to make this purchase. Nelson Enterprise Loan Trust happened to be in the same building as work and when I approached them asking for a loan they were very happy to assist!

The process to be granted a loan from Nelson Enterprise Loan Trust was surprisingly easy – the biggest and most difficult part was providing as sustainable business plan and a budget forecast.

I had already gained a Diploma in Tourism Management from NMIT (Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology) that had given me those skills.

I am forever grateful to Nelson Enterprise Loan Trust for believing in me and for giving me the opportunity to become self sufficient and independent and most of all to pursue my passion of travel and tourism in my everyday life !

New2Nelson

I needed a loan to have a website developed and help with the associated costs of starting up a new business.

Having emigrated to Nelson from the UK in 2006 with my husband and three children, we understood what it was like trying to ‘piece your life together again’ in a place where you don’t know many people and have limited local knowledge.

We felt that a website combining links to a range of local and community information and relocation services would provide the perfect starting place for people considering relocating to the area.

After researching my business loan options I decided to apply to the Nelson Enterprise Loan Trust as my situation fitted in well with their lending criteria. Once I had provided the required information the process was pretty straightforward, it worked for me and is definitely an option worth consideration.
